What is a Beauty Bar?

A beauty bar is a new concept, focused on sharing a makeover or education about how to apply make-up, along with skin care and hair styling.  Held in a comfortable environment, it can include drinks and appetizers, and even live music.  Consider it a way to make beauty social.  Whether it’s a bachelorette party, mothers and daughters looking for a shared experience, or a few friends enjoying some time together after work, a beauty bar can be enjoyed by anyone interested in learning more about looking and feeling her best.

As Valorie explains it, “Why can’t women get together drink some wine, listen to good music and play dress up? Try something new? Give each other honest feedback about what they look like with a little make up, or their hair a different way. A beauty bar may be the only time they are ever going to wear make-up and they can just take pictures of each other and have a good laugh.”
