Join V’z at the Beach Bash Benefit on August 15th
In May, local community member Sean Riley suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of a succession of blackouts and falls. Sean is an off-road tour guide for Lake Tahoe Adventures and his wife, Georgette, works for the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority and the TahoeChamber, and both are good friends of Valorie and the rest of the team.
A Beach Bash Benefit at Zephyr Cove Resort will take place on Wednesday, August 15th from 5-8 PM to help the family with the ongoing care expenses. Sean is doing well, but does have some issues with comprehension and memory as a result of the injury, and has a long road to recovery requiring extensive physical therapy, home supervision and care.
Sean and Georgette have both contributed time and resources to organizations such as the National Ski Patrol, the Tahoe Rim Trail, and Bread and Broth, not to mention their contributions to their respective work places. They are valued members of our community and now need our help.
The Beach Bash Benefit will include dinner with live music and a no-host bar, along with a silent auction, live auction, and raffle. Funds raised will be used to help pay for Sean’s continued medical and therapeutic care costs. Tickets to the event are $35, and include dinner and a raffle ticket.
Through Aramark/Zephyr Cove Resort’s generous contribution to this event $25 of every ticket sold will go directly to assisting Sean. Tickets can be purchased online or in advance at the LTVA Visitor Center, 3066 Lake Tahoe Blvd (across from Rojo’s).
V’z is putting together some terrific items for the auction, and will be at the event. We hope to see you there!

The V’z team learned a lot at the recent Dermaquest class.
It’s been a busy few weeks here at V’z. The team has taken a number of classes on new products like Color Proof Evolve, Moroccan Oil and Dermaquest. This continuing education allows us to remain current on hair design, product knowledge and new technologies, which means we can better provide our clients with the high quality products and services they deserve!

Mother’s Day Makeover Celebration
The Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce hosted a fantastic event yesterday evening. If you weren’t able to attend the Mother’s Day Makeover BAHM, you missed an inspiring celebration of mothers everywhere, one that boasted a gorgeous backdrop at Valhalla, great wines from Bella Grace and Crystal Basin Cellars wineries, a Sidestreet Boutique fashion show (featuring our very own Valorie!) and the big reveal of the two lucky winners, Candace and Jen.
We’re big believers in the power of a new hair style, and these two beautiful women rocked the runway as they showed off not just new hair, but new makeup, a new wardrobe and new energy. Their stories were inspiring, and their smiles contagious. We are so excited for them, and wish them the best as they begin their ‘new year’.
Huge thanks must go out to the chamber and all the other sponsors, who together helped provide a holistic makeover for two very deserving mothers!

On Spring Break April 8-15
Spring break may mean sunshine and beaches for some, but for the team at V’z it means professional training and education. V’z Image Option’z will be closed April 8-15 for its version of Spring break. The team looks forward to sharing what they learn about products, techniques and more when they return!

Mothers Day Makeover Giveaway
Our friends at the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce just announced the Mother’s Day Makeover giveaway that V’z is sponsoring! We’re so excited about this, and want to get the word out, as we know there are so many women in the community who deserve this opportunity.
If you think you know a mom deserving of a makeover, tell her about this! All she has to do is send the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce a short description (one-page maximum) including current employment information (or a desire to reenter the work force), along with a brief bio including where she’s from and why she feels she deserves the makeover. Entries must be emailed or faxed to 775-588-1941 by no later than 5PM on April 16th.
In addition to services from V’z Image Option’z, the head-to-toe makeover will include products and services from fellow sponsors Escobar Training Grounds, Sidestreet Boutique and Dr. Mireya Ortega DDS. The winners will be selected on April 20th by the these sponsors, Tahoe Chamber staff, and representatives from Tahoe Youth & Family Services and Live Violence Free.
The winners will receive a full makeover, complete with before and after pictures and the opportunity to show off their new look during the Mother’s Day BAHM on Thursday, May 10th from 5:30-7:30 PM at Valhalla.
